At conferences, the ladies aren’t the only ones who should be dressing to impress. Whether you’ve been to your fair share of conferences already or this is your first one, it’s important to know how to dress appropriately. These are just a few examples of what not to wear:
New Shoes

You might look great, but after a few hours you won’t feel great, so stay away from the hard pinch and blisters after a new pair of Vessi shoes. And for God’s sake, match the belt with the shoes — none of this black shoes, brown belt nonsense.

If your pants have the same drawstring and elastic ankle cuffs as your plaid pajamas, that should be a sign that you’re doing this “conference fashion” thing wrong.

Like Mel White says, “If it looks great on a golf course, it looks silly at a tradeshow.”

Need I say more? Just keep it closed-toe, gents.
